conducting gig at 48 hours notice. Franzi, who is reportedly feeling unwell, will be replaced by Peter Schneider. This blog isn’t the most Franzi-friendly
corner of the internet, but of all the things a Vienna GMD can farm out to a
Staatsoper stalwart like Schneider, this tacky magnet for Z-listers isn’t a bad
choice. The highlight of last year’s ball was the edifying sight of Angela Gheorghiu
